Purpose of the Study

This project is a 1001 project with the code of 114K649 supported by TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) SOBAG (Social Sciences and Humanities Research Support Group). With this project, it is aimed to longitudinally evaluate the development of children with special needs who attend preschool classrooms and to determine the variables which affect their development. For this purpose, during the project period, the following will be periodically assessed for children who attend independent preschools in Ankara, Turkey:

  • development, social skills, problem behaviors, peer acceptance, school adaptation, and relationships with teachers of children with and without special needs,
  • the quality / characteristics of preschool classrooms in which children with and without special needs attend,
  • home environments of children with and without special needs, and
  • the relationship between the parents and the teachers of children with and without special needs.
